High Aspect Ratio Blade - If you are familiar with the design of high lift capacity aircraft, you'll note that they feature long, slim wings. The Clubmans have applied this design philosophy, which is why they have that extra half inch when compared to other prop sizings. Compared to a standard 10-7, the 10.5-7 will present a similar load to the engine, but generate more thrust as a result of this unique blade design.
Progressive Pitch - While other blades use a straight pitch all the way along, the Clubmans use a different design philosophy. The pitch of the blade is progressively increased, then decreased toward the tips to provide an average chord as labelled - the advantage being the efficiency of the angle of attack is maximized at each point along the blade.
Hub to Blade Integration - This is really the key to the strength of the Clubmans, and the downfall of many other props. We've spent a tremendous amount of time and money using the latest software to model the ideal hub to blade transition, and the results are remarkable. Higher strength, lighter weight, and a level of structural integrity untouched by other props.
Tip Silence - Along with the extra half inch of diameter comes the opportunity to maximise how it is used. Many, many hours were spent designing a prop tip that would be the most quiet, efficient, and resilient on the market. Testing has proven that ALL of these design goals were met!
Airfoil accuracy - of utmost importance, we work with a custom program we have had written to generate NACA airfoils for our props. The choice of airfoil is varied with prop size and application. The Clubman Series design has been arrived at after extensive research into all other products available, a study of the materials available, and tapping into the enormous wealth of knowledge gained by the Bolly Props / Products operations over the last 20 years.
