Saito's FA-450R3D Triple is the largest Saito engine yet released, giving more power than ever for big birds like Byron's® Sukhoi, T-28, AT-6, Waco UPF, Corsair, Ohio R/C's® AT-6, or any of the popular large 1/5 scale AT-6 aircraft on the market today. Radial Features This 4 1/2 cubic inch radial weighs in at 6.5 pounds, including the short manifold exhaust pipe. Perfect for large 25-50 pound aircraft, it turns a Bolly 22x10 prop at a solid 8000 RPMs on 15% PowerMaster 2-stroke fuel--that's over 40 lbs. of static thrust! It delivers this incredible power with very little vibration--about 1/10th the vibration levels of comparable single cylinder 2-stroke engines. Soft mounts are not necessary with this monster powerplant. The Saito 4.50 breathes through a single 9.4mm rear mounted carburetor, and utilizes a 120° firing sequence. Its integral firewall mount makes it a breeze to install, and its gloss-black cylinders and gleaming gold valve covers lend a touch of class to any airplane. Easy start ups and reliable idling are part and parcel of the Saito experience, and this engine is no different. In addition, transitions from its 1200 rpm idling speed (with onboard glow) to full power are outstanding.
